Sky Fighters: 3rd Giveaway, 4th Novel Remaster, Nature, Survival, and more!

Seasons' Greetings to you, audience!

As has been the case with most of the series' recent blogs, this one comes with good news and bad news. So, to give this entry a positive ending, I'll begin by sharing the not-so-good news...

Due to a number of stressful complications which have affected me directly, the conclusion of Sky Fighters Part VIII has been temporarily halted. But fear not, Superior-Fans! Its release will come about sooner than you might hope! Now, this leads us to the good news...

First off, as I mentioned in a much earlier blog, the Sky Fighters writing-team, which mainly includes me, and a handful of other people, will be hosting our 3rd novel-giveaway...Huzzah!! Starting on the 5th of January, several handfuls of copies of the 2nd novella, Sky Fighters Part II: Redemption of the Rebels, will be given away as a slightly-belated Christmas gift in appreciation of our audience's prevailing patience! (The original plan was to host our giveaway in time for Christmas. But sometimes, life itself can be too unpredictable for such things to always work in our favor.)

 

 

Still, we have even more goodies on top of this: In order to prove our dedication to the series remains undeniably real, The Sky Fighters Remastery Programme will be continuing, through the meticulous re-write of Sky Fighters Part IV: Deadly Encounters! Our goal of this near-complete rewrite is to have it be finished either just before or immediately following Christmas Day. Regardless of when the rewrite is re-released, you'll still have a chance to win a copy of Sky Fighters Part II. Indeed, Sky Fighters has been surviving as an original series for quite a long time. And while I think it'd be awesome if I'd been the only one to ensure it and all those equally awesome characters would have survived on their own, I'm afraid I simply cannot afford to hog up all the credit! And so, without any further skipping around the bush, I'd like to formally introduce you, our fabulous audience to one very real young woman, who serves as the inspiration of why "coming-of-age" is one of the series' main genres! Ladies and gentlemen, boys, and girls, meet the real Elizabeth Benavides, nee Sherman!!

 

 

...Yesh, this is right: Up above is a video - An actual video of what a real Sky Fighter directly from the series looks and sounds like! The cutie in this video is how Elizabeth Sherman, the character, would appear and act. Not only this, but you're seeing how she'll appear during one portion of the novel which will ultimately follow directly after Sky Fighters Part VIII!!

 

And this is not all, folks! What you see here is in fact a day-hike video! Thus, it counts as a brief, but very real teaser of how Sky Fighters, the novel series as a whole, could appear were it lucky enough to become a Motion Picture, TV show, or even a video game. Not only this, but during this day-hike, I demonstrated my previous years of hiking experience to Mrs. Benavides by navigating us along the trail, using the map with relative-ease. And she was very glad to have my company this day. Feel free to contact me if you're curious to find out how I employed my navigation skills.

On the topic of survival, sometimes, using a weapon is a necessary evil. As you might be aware, there are many types of weapons used by the characters, who ultimately drive the series forward. One of those weapons is the Needle Staff. Would you like to see how a real Needle Staff would appear? Then, you just might be in luck! I recently met a young man, who not only practices the skill of gymnastics alongside me, but also claims to have some experience in the actual real-world Blacksmithing Skill! I shall contact him very soon to see if he'll be able to craft such an item for us to behold.

The series continues, but unpredictable surprises keep slowing progress down! Why? Full details in this post...!

Here's a random question which my newest fan, who knows of me, the Sky Fighters, and of course, the Houndy Crunchers has recently asked me...

 

Question: I've always wanted to write, but getting words on paper is so daunting. How do you just stop overanalyzing everything and just write?

 

Answer: Ohh! So, you've always wanted to write, but getting words on paper is so daunting? The answer is well...Kind of simple, really. And if you have a ton of ideas, then this must mean you have characters, ready and waiting for those words to be put on paper, am I right? So, my answer is: You're doing to much overanalyzing and not enough creative-writing!

Your characters are usually the ones who drive the story, and thus your ton of ideas forward! I am only finding my own writing so daunting because I'm not where I feel I belong, physically. Still though, save your analyzing for later; sometime after you've put some of your fabulous words to paper!

 

Has the above situation ever happened to me? Of course, it has! And when I'm down in the dumps, this tends to make writing harder for me. Just because I can avoid overanalyzing doesn't mean I've never had any trouble with my own writing. For those of you who don't yet know, I used to write my novels using an old battle system, where lots AND LOTS of math was involved! My OCs' Health Points, Energy Points, and Mana Points, plus the amount of damage their Attacks were inflicting ended up as the focus of every battle, rather than the characters, themselves! They didn't like this at all, and so firmly reminded me of who was most important by figuratively 'running away' until I changed my system to work in their favor. Now, I can barely get them to calm down and sleep every so often!

 

Though, being stuck in what I call "the trops" is making all of us frown. If I can't get away from South FL soon, there might not be an epic conclusion to the series as a whole! Incidentally, on the subject of characters, the number of real people whom I've spoken to in depth about the Sky Fighters, and/or shown one or more of my novels to has been steadily increasing. A number of those finer folks have been given rare opportunities to see themselves as characters within the series itself! As of this date, over 250 people, but maybe less than 1,000 are strongly familiar with my novel series, and what it's about as a whole. However, not everyone who I've met and promised a character position to has been introduced as one, yet. It'll happen for them, though. I'm a self-made man of my word, after all. Conversely, there are people (Or characters) from TV shows and/or films I have watched, who I made characters based-off. A striking number of them are in fact real-world celebrities. Of course, most of these celebrities have no idea they've been made into characters, who appear in one or more books. In fact, I've been writing and/or fabricating stories about a few of them since I was between 7 and 10 years of age!

...I'll bet you weren't expecting me to say this much, were you?

So, to wrap this part of the blog up, I will state which at least one of these "old OCs" from what was originally going to be known as The Houndy Crunchers is actually going to be introduced, beginning with my 8th novel of the original series! And believe me, they are going to be among the strongest ones yet!

 

 

 

But, what else has been "slogging" Sky Fighters and Houndy Crunchers down, you ask? Well, besides me still planning to head up North into the mountains, I may have mentioned my decision to attend college with a full intention of majoring in Forestry. What I didn't say was how my plan also includes me physically being able to restore as many displaced plants  and trees as I can, and rescue as many animals as I can in my lifetime, who are sick or injured because of humans. <---- The move up North alone has taken more time and efforts than I anticipated! Not only this, but being temporarily stuck in what equals a rundown shack, which is literally falling apart in the hands of two young rich, irresponsible men has resulted in far more recent frustrations than I would have preferred. But I'll never give up on this project! I have a strong obligation to support my Mom and myself. And if I can do so financially, this will be another victory for us. At Another Crossroads

A most humble greeting to you, audience! Didja miss me? If so, I missed you too! If not, well, how somber.


But here comes the latest news in regards to my series as a whole, including how to properly pronounce the names of certain people, places, and of course, things, related to the overall direction my series (And the original characters within it!) is heading, plus a brief insight on these characters, along with a darn good reason or more as to why they're not all a bunch of Mary Sues (And Gary Stus).
And finally, but not least of all, I would like to discuss how my series advocates for all things natural, animals, and the wilderness, and how I plan to use it as a means to end our climate change crisis, our biodiversity crisis, and, of course, our food shortage crisis!


First and foremost, it would seem we've arrived at another crossroads! Yesh, this is right: I am currently unsure as to whether my next move should be to start another crowdfunding campaign (Like the first one I ran on Indiegogo way back in 2014), if I should petition my local news reporters to cover my works (And the characters contained within them) as part of their human interest section, or whether I should pitch my series to a traditional publisher (Of which I personally know of one person who works for such a company). As you can more than likely see, this is quite a HUGE decision for me to make! And I am not certain I could make such a decision entirely on my own. So, I'd like to ask you, my audience, which of these 3 tasks I ought to pursue first. Your input, if you have any, will become highly invaluable to me!

Ahh! And speaking of my characters, I notice a number of you, among the more critical reviewers of my series, have pointed out which I've seen mentioned as being difficult to relate to, having 'little to no character development, and even one person telling me directly which 'my books were full of poor characterization'. <---- These are all statements like this, which is a matter of each person's personal opinion. However, I would like to point one thing out: My characters might be super-powerful, but by no means are they invincible! And I also believe there's no such thing as a perfect character. A character who has no weaknesses whatsoever and who is good at everything they do is effectively a Mary Sue (Or Gary Stu). I may not spend a lot of time going over my characters, but every one of them has a weakness. For instance, the Sky Queen is the strongest known Sky Fighter in the series. But she could be defeated fairly easily through a combination of ice, water, and one other exploit. You'll have to read my 8th novel to find out what said exploit is, though...Now, I'm not saying people are accusing my characters of being Mary Sue (Or Gary Stu) types. I just wanted to mention this just in case anyone had any doubts.


A number of you might (Or might not) have also struggled with pronouncing the names of some of my characters, places, and other such nouns. Were you surprised about any of the words having to be said a certain way? Do you have trouble with pronouncing any of them? Do tell us! In the meantime, I'd like to briefly touch on a statement which a long-standing friend of mine has brought up: “You should offer hardcover formats of your novels!” You: Hold on a moment! Does your friend actually know if Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing offers hardcover formats of their authors' novels? Me: She does indeed! And I am quite pleased to announce they do offer this option for all of their published authors! Therefore, the entire Sky Fighters and Houndy Crunchers novel series will become available in hardcover format once I have Sky Fighters Part VIII published!

On one highly important final note, some of my readers among you might have noted how I keep on bringing up the subject of nature, animals, and/or the wilderness. Yesh, I love all of these wonderful nouns (Things), but my main reason for bringing them up so often is to raise awareness to combat our planet's ongoing climate change crisis, which I firmly believe humans are the main cause of. However, we can also be the ones who provide a definitive solution to this crisis, along with averting our, biodiversity crisis, and, yesh, our food shortage crisis. You: Mr. Eberle, what can you do to help us avert our planet's ongoing climate change crisis, among the others? Me: As I mentioned in my one-page essay, I'm going to train as hard as I can and have a career working in the forest. Then, I'm going to plant as many trees and plants as I can, and save as many animals as I can, in my lifetime, who are sick or injured because of humans. I will start by planting 50 trees in each of the 50 states in the United States and rescue at least 5 wild sick, and/or injured animals in each of these 50 states in the United States.

Sky Fighters and Houndy Crunchers...Complete it or forget about it?

Sky Fighters and Houndy Crunchers has been suspended...At least for now. This post is part of a review-blog of Adaline Winters' first novel, Seducing Hope. Anybody who's one of the "elite" or otherwise disagrees with my opinions can take their harsh, negative backlash elsewhere. Thanks in advance...!

 

Yeah, this is right...I have put a halt on writing and finishing Sky Fighters and Houndy Crunchers...Possibly indefinitely. Why? Because I cannot personally see any reason to keep on writing such a lengthy book series when almost everyone else's lack of interest in it is not only obvious, but some of the people who're aware of me and my writing seem to think they can get away with trying to police my opinions on other books, and I won't make a fuss about it!

 

And so if anyone was able to manage getting this far in reading this rant of mine, then let me ask you this...Why should I even bother to finish my first and so far ONLY novel series for ANYBODY which knows about who I am or at least has ever heard of me, before? Seriously, I want everyone who reads this to give me 5 reasons or more why they deserve to find out how Sky Fighters and Houndy Crunchers ends. If anybody still cares about it at all, I'll be waiting to hear your answers...

And now onto the more important news many of you have probably been waiting to hear about me...The Wikipedia article. I don't know if it's been 'vanished' or not as my fairly-new friend, Marc noted in one comment on his review of my first novel. But before I get into it, I would like to offer a most humble apology to a few people, who became disheartened as a result of one of my own book reviews, as well as my previous blog, which I posted on this website...

The book in question takes place in a modern city of Scotland, which partly ties into my family's personal heritage. Unfortunately, since I was not offered a decent education in my schol-days, I ended up not understanding and perhaps even misinterpreting the slang, phrases, and meanings written in this book. Not only this, but the genre of the book didn't really appeal to me.

As for the blog post, I wrote it in response to some rather nasty remarks made against me on Reddit, as I had mentioned before. Still, I could have gotten a better, less-hostile grip on the matter of those Reddit posts about me and my works.

Please know it was never my intention to inflict any harm of any kind upon anyone, whether emotional or not. So, to Mr. Iain Rodgers, Mr. or Miss C.C. (On Goodreads), and last, but most importantly of all, Miss Rebecca Maye Holiday, I am incredibly sorry for the things I said about you (In the case of Iain) and your friends/acquaintances (In the cases of C.C. and Miss Rebecca). This apology also applies to anyone else who saw those remarks of mine as being a tad out of line.

So to anyone who doubts the sincerity of my apology, know this: I am neither the god, nor even the demigod of anyone or anything. Not even close, in fact. I am only but a mere mortal man, who just happens to be a...Well, somewhat-skilled indie-author. <---- I'm sure Mr. Marc is laughing at me for saying it like this. Still, none of you have to forgive me, though I would appreciate it.

Do understand however, there may be certain quotes written by me on this page. But I have either edited or outright redacted many of those harsh comments and remarks I had previously made on my blog, plus the review of Mr. Iain's book. After all, I don't wanna be seen as a stark-raving menace, who shouts out verbal hostilities to anyone who I'm not familiar with. And this is regardless of whether they were actually nasty towards me to start with or not. Furthermore, I don't have the slightest idea who actually wrote the article about me. But since they seem to have done such a remarkably professional job on it, I'd like to offer a reasonable monetary payment directly to the author of my Wikipedia article. So, to whoever this person might be, feel free to reach out to me at my e-email above.

Apart from this, in case anyone who views this is wondering, besides being a writer, I'm also fond of going on hikes, climbing mountains, bodybuilding, practicing gymnastics, and archery, among other intriguing hobbies like these. Although, most of you probably already know this, I've been in the process of re-writing the first four novels I wrote, almost from scratch. As of this date, I am only 2 chapters away from having the 3rd novel remastered. Once it has been done, which will most likely happen this week, I will update its cover, to make it appear different from the 5th and 7th novels and perhaps a little nicer. 

After this, I will continue writing the final 5 chapters of the 8th novel! Yesh, this is correct. I'm only 5 chapters away from finishing this novel at last! And if this book isn't ready by this coming Christmas, I'll host a 3rd giveaway this year!! I'll bet everyone who reads this will find it exciting, right? Erm...Right, folks? I guesh I'll have to wait and see how the conclusion of my epic saga is received.

And now, onto the darker side of the news...By way of a Google Search run by a close comrade of mine, whose identity shall remain a secret, I have recently become aware of at least a few instances of book piracy directly involving my series. <---- This came as a major shock, not only to me, but also to my Mom, who simply adores the dedicated, hard work I put into crafting every single portion of my series to this date. Furthermore, if these piracy attempts weren't bad enough, I have also stumbled upon a public discussion-thread about me and my series, on Reddit of all places! And no, the two or more users weren't singing my praises. In fact, both of them-Who I suspect are very bored, male trolls-Are using Reddit as a means to publicly name and shame not only those novels, but ME PERSONALLY, as an author. Not only are they guilty of this blatantly-shameful behavior, but they've also accused me of creating a fake-name of an author, whom I've given credit to in the acknowledgments portion of my 7th Sky Fighters novel. Gee whiz! I guess those men haven't heard of authors who either use pen-names or who've recently changed their names. Needless to say, both me and this other author-Who won't be named here to protect their privacy-Have recently changed our author-names. And both of us either currently use a pen-name or have used one in the past. Oh, and if all this still wasn't bad enough, the Reddit author seems to have created ANOTHER THREAD!! Only this one is considerably worse. In it, he (RatRidingATractor, for those of you curious about his identity) now openly accuses me of being quote-unquote "in love" with my Mom. This is the most ridiculous load of drivel I've ever heard anyone say about me, anywhere on the Internet!! (-_-) Furthermore, this thread is much newer, having only been created a day ago as of 3-04-2022!

 

So, here's a guy (Who's probably not much older than me, if older at all), publicly naming and shaming my series (And me!) and accusing me of not only making up a fake person as one of my acknowledgments, but also of being-Gasp!-In love with my Mom? To anyone who knows me well enough, I'm not a practitioner of incest, nor am I accusing the writers of the Reddit article of presuming I've done so. I don't even drink, smoke, or do any form of street-drugs. And yet, here, online, are a couple of NT-cattle*, flapping their yaps about a self-published Indie-author they know nothing about.

 

*If anyone reading this wants to know what NT means, LOOK IT UP!! It's not an ethnic slur though, in case anyone who follows me decides to try accusing me of being a racist pig. And I've not even begun to mention several of the other people I've met online since I claimed my author's profile on Goodreads back in 2019...Those people started out being friendly and even welcoming of me into their online social-circles. But now, some of them have either blocked me, unfriended me, or simply refuses to speak to me. (AngyKat#3485 on Discord, I am especially referring to YOU in this part of my post. What are you? A gymnast or an outright traitor against autistics like me!?) <---- Yes, this is right. I am autistic. If the cat wasn't out of the bag yet, he sure is, now! Oh, and by the way, RatRidingATractor claims he too, is-Gasp!-Autistic!! Did he even bother doing a little extra research about me, if not speak to me outright, before judging me so darn harshly!? I fear I cannot even mention the name of the so-called 'club' he decided to lump me and my books into. Seriously, the nerve some grown men have on the Internet...

You see, I think the problem with today's NT-cattle society and most of their cohorts can effectively be boiled down to 3 things...To many street drugs, alcohol, and/or tobacco products, to much technology, smart or not, and lastly, to much incest. Yeah, this is right. If you can stomach running a search for any type of pornography, then you're likely to stumble upon instances of parent-child encounters. Yuck!! I am NOT going to speak another word about this highly-controversial subject, and I never would have even brought it up had this guy on Reddit not publicly accused me of being romantically involved with my own mother. But because he somehow felt he had to blatantly mention something so disgusting, I had to counter his accusation with one of my own. I am real sorry to anyone reading this who's actually a legitimate fan of me and/or my series. But seeing remarks and accusations about me, like the ones I mentioned above, are well-beyond hurtful. And not only to me, either, but also to my family and any good soul who happens to stumble upon Reddit. So, unless anyone cares enough to have this nonsense about me TAKEN DOWN SOON, then I'm likely to be the only one who can clear and restore my good, honest reputation. And THIS is just one of several reasons why I refuse to even create an account on Reddit.

I am now groaning, rolling my eyes, and shaking my head in disgust as I finish up this one blog post, which is very likely to be the longest one I've written by far. But I don't care. Certain things about certain humans just HAD to be said.

 

So, if all of the above was TL;DR for any of my fans, here's a much briefer summary...1: I'm hosting another giveaway, if anyone cares. 2: Book piracy is wrong, AND a crime, so please don't support anyone claiming to offer free copies of other people's novels! And finally, 3: Publicly naming and shaming someone behind their backs, and making false accusations about them counts as breaking the 9th of the 10 Commandments. Again, look it up if you don't recall what it is. I'm sure everyone who knows how to read and write has heard of The Holy Bible at least once before. Feral Henry out.

Introducing The Sky Fighters' Tales! An original novel adaptation (ONA)

Ahh! How long has it been since I've brought out a new bo--Oh, hi!

Sorry for the awkward introduction. But awkward or not, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce my latest writing project to you: The Sky Fighters' Tales! This is what I would call an original novel adaptation (Or ONA for short). If you know anything about anime shows, then the aforementioned acronym could be familiar to you. On this note, here is a brief spoiler-free synopsis...

The Sky Fighters' Tales is a Trilogy-Three short stories, which are focused on characters who usually aren’t one of the main protagonists of the series. In other words, these are not stories about Rehn, Holly, Ramasha, Gregoroth, Maya, and/or Brent...For the most part, anyway. This having been said, each of the three stories features Houndy Crunchers, a lot of whom are Dual-Shifters.

Many, if not most, of these Houndy Crunchers adamantly shun the use of any and all modern technology, if not forbid it outright! While the reason(s) for this remain unknown, certain Sky Fighters have speculated the Houndy Crunchers believe such technology will begin corrupting their souls if it is used close to them or the natural places they’ve lived in for millions of years.

A few things to keep in mind...

I: This book features what I, the author consider to be the best cover of any novel I've ever published to this date. As you can likely see above, it features two young children, the one on the right perhaps being Terri, the Cat-Shifter, herself! This image is the first one of a Dual-Shifting Houndy Cruncher I've ever shown to the public! You can also spy a fox (Foxerotto) who might be watching them wander through this forest from atop a tree branch.

II: Keeping this in mind, some specifications and/or details about this ONA may change. And so, the actual day-of-release of one or both versions may be delayed by another day or two. Please be patient until then. 

III: The release-date of this new, short book actually could have been as early as December, 2021, however, due to facing many difficulties, most of which are human-related, it wasn't able to be copyrighted until January of 2022 and submitted for publishing earlier this week.

IV: Even after all of this is factored in, I am surprised and rather disappointed by the apparent lack of interest or knowledge of this project. Especially considering my fan-base is comprised of 10,000 people or more, I would have thought (And hoped!) it would gain more attention, especially since the conclusion of the original series is right around the corner!

But, please don't let this last statement above seem off-putting to you! None of my Mom's projects have this fame-level yet, either. And yesh, my Mom has more than one sci-fi project, which is 100% finished as of this morning. Plus, my Mom has written other fine stories (Mostly in script form), where the main genre isn't just sci-fi. In short, she has more than twice the number of writing projects as I do!
